The accommodation is immaculately presented and furnished to a very high standard with solid oak flooring throughout. The lounge enjoys a bright and airy ambience enhanced by two full height windows from which to admire the sea- scape directly opposite, with a door to the patio and seating outside. The kitchen diner is deceptively spacious and well equipped with integrated appliances, a granite worktop and a small seating area with sea views.

The seascape includes not only the Farne Islands but also Seahouses north beach with Bamburgh Castle and Lindisfarne beyond. Spindrift has uninterrupted views directly out to sea yet the amenities available within Seahouses are only a couple of hundred yards walk away and include tearooms, restaurants, pubs and shops.

Boat trips to the Farne Islands run from the nearby harbour, the islands are famous for their nesting seabirds and grey seal colonies. Horse riding, a links golf course, kayak and surfboard hire, windsurfing, mountain and road cycling are all available nearby as well as coast and country walks in this outdoor playground.

The Farne Islands

The Farne Islands are possibly the most exciting seabird colony in England with around 43,000 pairs of puffin. It’s also home to a one of the top grey seal pupping sites in England, with more than 2,000 pups born every autumn.

Northumbrian Castles

Northumberland has more castles than any other county in England. A legacy of its turbulent past, including the infamous Border wars which raged from the 14th to 16th centuries, Northumberland boasts over 70 castle sites.

Lindisfarne

Skim over the sands and causeway to Holy Island and prepare to enter another world. Lying just a few miles off the Northumberland coast, Holy Island is cut off twice-daily from the rest of the world by fast-moving tides. Both an island and a picturesque village, Holy Island carries a wealth of history within its tidal walls.

*The Ocean Club is a private leisure club attached to neighbouring Seafield Park. Residents of Spindrift are welcome via a day ticket which costs £9 (adult) / £5 (child).
